Is a Good Boss Always a Plus? LMX, Family–Work Conflict, and Remote Working Satisfaction during the COVID-19 Pandemic

This study investigated the relationships between leader–member exchange (LMX) and workers’ perceptions of family–work conflict (FWC) LMX satisfaction with remote working (SRW). It also assessed moderating effect employees’ ability to cope (AC) work in interaction FWC. Using a cross-sectional design, this tested moderated mediation model using Model 7 Macro “PROCESS” for SPSS. The sample consisted 455 employees engaged activities during COVID-19 health emergency. Surprisingly, results showed that was positively associated FWC, while latter negatively SWR. There were neither direct nor indirect effects on SRW, but moderation AC relationship FWC significant negative. In particular, that, workers who reported lower values AC, increase quality corresponded an Conversely, very high as increased, decreased.
